Electrogalvanizing, commonly known as cold galvanizing, uses the zinc ingot as the anode, and the zinc atom becomes an ionic state after losing electrons and dissolves into the electrolyte,while the steel strip acts as the cathode. The zinc ions are reduced to zinc atoms by electrons on the steel strip and deposited on the surface of the steel strip to form a coating.

Galvanized rectangular tube is made in both A513 and A500 grade steel, depending on the size, and has been hot dipped into a molten zinc material. Through galvanizing , the rectangular tubing will prevent rust for decades, while maintaining its strength and durability.
